Health care providers can now access local and provincial HIV-related resources by visiting the Northern Health Care Provider Practice Support contact list.
In March 2011, the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS presented their HIV Primary Care Guidelines. This was a major event because until then only specialty HIV Guidelines existed. The Primary Care Guidelines are constantly monitored and regularly revised by the BC-CfE’s Therapeutic Guidelines Committee, made up of physicians, pharmacists, virologists, health service researchers, and economists.
The Guidelines are available on the CfE website at this link: http://www.cfenet.ubc.ca/our-work/initiatives/therapeutic-guidelines
